Thank You!

A special thanks to the sponsors of the 2017 Swan Days Festival!

John Roberts Memorial Fund

Swan Quarter, NC

“John Roberts of Cary, NC, loved Lake Mattamuskeet. He especially loved fishing on the lake. When John lost his battle to cancer on December 1, 2016, his wife Emily suggested that memorials be made to Mattamuskeet National Wildlife Refuge or to the Mattamuskeet Foundation. These two organizations are using a portion of these memorial gifts in support of the Civilian Conservation Corps Company 424 living history exhibit at the 2017 Swan Days Festival at Lake Mattamuskeet on December 9. The exhibit will honor the contributions of the CCC Boys who worked between 1933 and 1943 helping set up Swanquarter and Mattamuskeet National Wildlife Refuges, and is a fitting tribute to the memory of John Roberts.”
